Request Emergency Funds
91Ӱ offers emergency funds to help students cover unexpected expenses such as housing, child care, utilities, and other urgent needs.
Unexpected things can happen in life. To help ease the burden of unplanned expenses, the 91Ӱ Foundation has emergency funds available for students. If you have an emergency expense you can’t afford and it is affecting your education or causing problems at home, you may be eligible for an emergency grant per academic calendar year.
Covered Expenses
You must provide documentation dated within the last 30 days.
- Housing — 30-day past-due bill or eviction notice
- Child care — 30-day past-due bill
- Utility bills — Cut-off notice
- Medical — 30-day past due bill or collections notice (the student must be the responsible party)
- Auto repairs — Repairs required to make the vehicle operable for travel to and from campus. An unpaid invoice or quote is required.
- Textbooks or bills owed to 91Ӱ for one-time program-related expenses — Verified by 91Ӱ staff
- Cell phone — 30-day past-due bill
- Other hardships — Proof of the expense and amount

- Upload documentation showing a covered expense dated within 30 days of your application.
- Attach official documentation on letterhead in PDF format. Screenshots are not accepted. Documentation must clearly show the student's identifying information.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, you must:
- Have attended or be attending six credit hours for the current semester.
- Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0.
- Select your refund preference with BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution powered by BMTX, Inc.
- Eligibility is subject to the financial aid cost of attendance.
What to Expect
- The committee meets weekly to review student requests.
- Approved funds are dispersed through your selected BankMobile preferences on Fridays.
- Expenses not covered include routine car maintenance, taxes, legal fees, and child support.
- Dual Credit students are not eligible for this funding.
- The reviewing committee uses its discretionary to ensure grant requirements are met.
