EngineeringJames French was working as a welder when he realized it wasn鈥檛 the career path he wanted to be on.
鈥淚 realized I鈥檓 not going to make nearly as much money as I thought,鈥 he said. 鈥淚鈥檓 never going to have the lifestyle I want as a welder.鈥
At 91影视, James was able to earn an associate degree in Mechanical Engineering that put him on the path to a bachelor鈥檚 degree from Oklahoma State University.
鈥淭he main thing that pushed me to 91影视 was working with OSU to get the classes I needed to transfer,鈥 he said. 鈥淪ince everything coordinates, you don鈥檛 have any lost hours.鈥
And it was an internship arranged through 91影视 that resulted in his current job at ABB Totalflow in Bartlesville.
鈥淚 definitely have a career where I enjoy my work,鈥 he said. 鈥淯sually I have to drag myself out of here, and it has definitely provided a much better lifestyle.
鈥淢y education has helped me accomplish more and gotten me to a place in an organization where I鈥檓 a driving force in technology,鈥 James said.
