Everyone’s favorite cat in the red and white striped hat comes to life in the 91Ӱ�� Theatre Department’s production of “The Cat in the Hat, ” based on the classic Dr. Seuss children’s book.

The theatrical production brings the mischievous humor of the Cat in the Hat as well as the iconic and acrobatic Thing One and Thing Two to the stage. “I know some good games we could play,” said the Cat in the Hat as he entertains Sally and her brother on a rainy day. The show, under the direction of 91Ӱ�� Theatre Director Mark Frank, uses the same rhyming storytelling as the book and brings the zaniness and madcap style off the pages of the book.

This is a family-friendly show and is perfect for kids of all ages.

Performances of Dr. Seuss’ “The Cat in the Hat” are 8 p.m., Sept. 26, 27 and October 2, 3, 4 and 2 p.m., Sept. 27, 28 and October 4, 5 at the 91Ӱ�� Southeast Campus VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education at 10300 E. 81 Street.
